Buying & Earning Credits

There are two ways to get credits on RoundRobin: earn them by testing, or buy them directly. Here's how each works.

Part 1: Earning Credits

Earning credits is free — you just give feedback and get rewarded. Here's the step-by-step process.

Step 1: Find a test to take

1. Go to the Live Tests board (/browse).
2. Browse available tests. Each shows the reward amount and test type.
3. Click on a test that interests you to see the full landing page.

Step 2: Take the test

1. Read the scenario and test flow carefully.
2. Click Take this test.
3. Go through the consent and system check (grant screen + mic permissions).
4. Follow the test flow — narrate your thoughts and answer all questions.
5. Submit your response when done.

Step 3: Wait for approval

The test creator reviews your response. You'll get a notification when:

• Your feedback is approved → credits are added to your account automatically.
• Your feedback is rejected → no credits earned. Review the tips and try another test.
• Your feedback needs more → you can revise and resubmit.

Step 4: Check your credits

Approved credits appear in your navbar credit widget and your tester dashboard. You'll also get a credit transaction record on the Buy Credits page.

How much can you earn per test?

Remember: Earned credits expire after 12 months. Use them!

Part 2: Buying Credits

If you need credits quickly or want to run more tests than you've earned, you can buy credit packs.

Step 1: Go to Buy Credits

From the navbar dropdown or your dashboard, go to Buy Credits.

Step 2: Choose a credit pack

You'll see available credit packs with different price points. Larger packs include bonus credits — so buying in bulk gives you more credits per dollar. Look for the "popular" badge on recommended packs.

Step 3: Complete payment

1. Click on the pack you want.
2. You'll be redirected to Stripe's secure checkout.
3. Enter your payment details and complete the purchase.

Payment is processed by Stripe — your card information is never stored on RoundRobin.

Step 4: Credits are added

After successful payment, credits are added to your purchased balance immediately. You'll see them in your navbar widget and on the Buy Credits page transaction history.

Do purchased credits expire?

No. Purchased credits never expire. Buy them once and they're yours forever.

Part 3: Promo Codes

Occasionally, RoundRobin offers promo codes for free credits.

How to redeem a promo code

1. Click your profile dropdown in the navbar.
2. Select Promo Code.
3. Enter your code and click redeem.
4. If valid, promo credits are added to your account immediately.

Promo code rules

• Each code has a maximum number of uses — once it hits the limit, it stops working.
• Some codes have expiration dates.
• Most codes can only be redeemed once per user.
• Promo credits may have their own expiration rules.

Part 4: Tips for Maximizing Your Balance

Start by earning

If you're new, the best way to get credits is to take a few tests first. You'll earn credits, learn how the platform works, and then use those credits to run your own tests — all without spending money.

Give quality feedback

Quality feedback gets approved. Approved feedback earns credits. Rushed or vague feedback gets rejected — no credits. Invest the time to do it right.

Use expiring credits first

The system handles this automatically (promo → earned → purchased), but be aware of your earned credits approaching their 12-month expiration. Plan to use them before they vanish.

Buy in bulk when you can

Larger credit packs include bonus credits, giving you more value per dollar. If you know you'll be running multiple tests, buy a bigger pack.

Watch for promotions

RoundRobin occasionally runs promotions or offers promo codes. Keep an eye on notifications and emails so you don't miss free credits.
